lil’ update (with pics!)

Got to see all the Tuesday Mommies on Canada Day as one of the moms in the group hosted a BBQ! Ironically, it was Tuesday! lol 
What could be better than friends and food? A new play structure for the kids to play on – wow! Thanks Trina for a really fun time!

Water park:
We had very “slow” mornings after our vacation, and Avery hasn’t been going to daycare all that early. Wednesday morning, we ended up just meeting his childcare provider at the local water park, which was actually really neat because I got to watch Avery play but got to send him off afterwards in his swimsuit and towel for her to help him get dressed and to feed him lunch! Best of both worlds!

Karen & Ian’s housewarming:
Firstly, it was a great excuse to dig out my stamps again (including my brand new stamp set!) to get back to card-making and create a new hand-made card for the occasion! The kids helped me and were actually pretty good throughout the process.
Supplies used: white cardstock, patterned paper (red with flowers), Textured paper (Bazzil), stamp image from “Tagger’s Dozen” set (by Stampin’ Up) in black ink, red brad (Stampin’ Up), red ribbon, and red and clear “stickles”.
Then there was the housewarming party, which was a fun time as well. Great to see friends and catch up a little. Kids were a bit of a handful though, unfortunately. Oh, and I had a nosebleed right as we were leaving which began quite violently so that was no fun (glad it was then and not 2 minutes earlier as I was hugging people good-bye though!!!).
And I also tried out “Rock band” for the 1st time and wow, I love it! 
lol I so need this game now. But I’m willing to wait until we move so that we have actual space to store all the game’s equipment (guitars and drumset!).
