So walking up the street downtown towards Parliament Hill this morning, I fumbled a little for my cell phone, thinking maybe I would take a picture of the peace tower. And also I was wondering what time it was, since I wasn’t wearing a watch.
If you’ve already realized why this combination of events is head-smack-dumb, then you’re already ahead of my point of realization… which happened when the BIG GIANT CLOCK chimed. Oh yeah. That.

Which is about how the whole day went.
I guess I’m just easily impressed, but I found a lot of things just nifty… The historical architecture, the unique-looking keys, the water-pitcher delivery service (which makes sense ’cause really, old water fountains = ew), the courtyard where I ate lunch, the fact that the really big old window I sit beside has 2 sets of curtains, the very first e-mail I got (a media press release on where our prime minister will be tomorrow, too funny).
There were negatives thrown in with the positives, the biggest one being the pain I was in.
And it looks to be an extremely demanding job.
But I think I like it there, I think I want to stay. I know I want to give it my best try!
