OK, so!!! thanks for the feedback on the blog issues. I think I’ve figured out a good solution! 
I’ve changed the settings so that my blog posts are posted to LJ and you can comment either there or here. So that’s really the best of both worlds. LJ people can comment where they’re most comfy. And then for other readers, I don’t have to make anyone sign up for an LJ account in order to comment (which was my concern and a primary reason for moving).
And for all the lurkers, well, you can just keep reading. Sure, it feels a little stalker-ish but hey, that’s the internet. Krismom.com apparently gets a few hundred new visitors a day and I have no idea who most of those people are. Oh, and if you need more stalking, I am using my Twitter again.
As for the userpics and polls I covet, I’ll have to figure out some way to get them (or some equivalent) over here. Time to check out WordPress’s widgets a little more maybe.
I have many many things on my “to blog about” list (I need to start carrying around a notebook or something) so stay tuned and thanks for reading!!

it’s that time again…
and for me this time of year is busier than just getting ready for Christmas. with Paul & Harmony’s bday in November and Avery’s in December, keeping on top of all the family plans and events is a busy job!
I get sucked into this void where running the family seems to require an office staff. But I like doing it. having the printed out Christmas wishlist and shopping lists and budjets and card checklists and cards and address labels and newsletter (although this year Paul picked out the paper and it’s a great choice!).
Family photo? check. But I think this might be our last year at Sears portrait studio. We’ve been going there for so long that we’ve done almost all the backgrounds. So I think next year for our yearly Christmas portrait we’ll get one of our many photography-talented friends to snap a pic of the 4 of us in front of the tree or something (which will be in front of our lovely big living room window I think!).
Harmony’s birthday is tomorrow!! The big “ten-oh” as I say (right before my hubby pokes fun at me). I bought a “0″ candle so now we have all the numbers! 
The “0″ will get good use as Paul and I turn 30 in a couple years and then Avery’ll turn 10 a few years after that.
More to blog about later, but I started this one on the 24th and wanted to finish it. 
I’m thinking of switching back to LJ for the blog portion of my krismom site, what do you think? I kinda miss the comments. And the userpics!

Yay, we knew this day was coming soon! For a year or so, Avery’s been able to write the “A” for his name. Since school started, he has been taking an interest in the other letters. Often he will sign “AV” and ask you to finish the rest. But yesterday he brought home a project from school that had his whole name on the back!!!
Also, have I mentioned it’s Harmony week with her soccer trophy? Her team won 1st place in this summer’s league for the 10-year-old girls group!
P.S. She has been growing out her bangs and it’s driving me nuts. Should I let her keep going or cut them off again??? I told her she could keep growing them out if she wore headbands and clips and she’s just not keeping up her end of the bargain!
