Started writing this earlier but our router has been having issues. So sorry if I’ve been a little more “MIA” than usual. I also think I’m crashing from last week’s creativity whirlwind. My contributions this week have been much more mundane. Started a new cycle yesterday, looks like I’m on a 32day pattern these days.

I have lost a couple pounds though at least (and that was Monday morning even before my period started!). And I’ve been very good this year with Halloween treats. I bought this wafer-thin chocolate flakes and since Halloween have limited myself to one a day (so NO little chocolate bars!) and any other treats are usually candy (fat free). Other than that, still doing what I can to keep my portions small. So I’m now holding at the -10lb mark (reminder: in 2006 I made it to the -65lb mark and hope to get back there).

And of course I wanted to mention that I’m thrilled about the result of the US election yesterday! I have felt such a heavy feeling of *dread* the past 2 US and 2 Canadian elections waking up to right-wing governments and am relieved there’s been a change! I hope Canada follows suit when the next election comes along (which everyone jokes should be in about 6 months). If so I already have blinkies planned: “Lefter is better“.

Speaking of blinkies… the combination of my recent flurry of nursing blinkies and Paul’s cute picture of him and his “padawan learner” has inspired a bizarre but funny set…

ME: “I just love that the baby has a light saber”
DH: “Or he’s not wearing a diaper…”
ME: ((confuzzled))
DH: “…and is peeing!”
ME: “Green pee? Neon green pee?”
DH: …
ME: “Ok you know I’m blogging this now, right?”
