quick tip ~ candles
February 11th, 2009 -- Posted in domestic engineering, hill to haven | Comments OffSo, as I pack up my candle collection, I not only realize how many of these I have everywhere in the house (but I was a Partylite consultant in 1998/1999 right so that’s my excuse), but I realize I should finish them up and clean them up as I go.
And I’ve made use of this handy quick tip that maybe not everyone knows about, so here it is.
Yes, blog readers, if you’re going to learn something new every day, it might as well be this:
To get the last bit of wax out of the bottom of your candle-holder, stick the whole thing in the freezer for about 10 minutes. When you take it out, it should pop out easily and all stay together in one piece. No more scraping at wax bits with a knife!
