mortgages are scary
March 10th, 2009 -- Posted in future / dreams / goals, hill to haven, love & marriage | Comments OffSince we’re already responsible for the health and well-being and emotional development of two little individual human beings, you’d think signing a paper at the bank wouldn’t be so nerve-wracking an experience. We’ve already signed marriage certificates and birth certificates, and those are pretty much life-long commitments (yes your kids may move out, but you’re always a parent).
But having enjoyed the freedom of having student loans paid off and being debt-free (for a short while anyways), it does seem a little scary to promise to pay back such a huge amount of money (which will take such a large chunk of our lifetime to do!). Thinking about this kind of stuff has me halfway between feeling accomplished and wanting to run and scream that I want no part in this “adult stuff”.
