trim inspection
March 23rd, 2009 -- Posted in hill to haven, pics | Comments OffToday, Paul and I went for our scheduled Trim Inspection at the new house! We had to wear hardhats and everything LOL (we look kinda dorky so the pic of two of us in front of the house won’t be widely distributed). 
Although everything was still covered in a good layer of construction dust and some things weren’t yet finished, it was a good chance to see our colours in action (and together, and on a grand scale).
I’m really really pleased at how the 2 upstairs bathrooms turned out, and I am glad the kitchen linoleum matches so well with the ceramic that it bumps up against when it reaches the laundry/mud room and powder room.
I’m hesitant about the front hall tile and the kitchen cupboards, but I’ll wait until things are finished and give it a chance. The hallway banister hasn’t gotten its 2nd coat of stain, so perhaps when it does, the tile won’t look so dark. And I’m hoping the special backsplash we picked out and designed will help tie the kitchen cupboards into the whole “look” of the kitchen.
Countdown: 5 weeks until we get the keys, and just 4 weeks until our pre-delivery inspection! 3 months and 4 days until moving day!
