This card was a bit of a departure from my usual “style” because I was working with the materials and tools that had not been packed yet! It was actually a good chance to see some materials I hadn’t gotten a chance to use in a while…
The paper is textured and then I used my Scrapboss for the embossed flower on the front. The blue floral tag was a cardstock sticker from daisy D, and the patterned paper is Stampin’ Up.
To celebrate this friend’s birthday (the big 4-0!), our little group of mommies also went out to Moxie’s. I don’t think I’ve laughed that much in months, it was great. 
I did a ton of resting up before and after the night out and it required some teeth-gritting through some painful moments, but it’s wonderful to take a break from my little hermit-like life (spent in my bed or on my couch!) to see friends.

News flash for web mommies: Lilypie has a new site design! They’ve been a fave ticker site since way back when and it’s been neat watching that site grow. Previously created tickers will continue to work, but I’ve made a couple new ones anyways. I actually like her new font choice…
Facebook pet peeve: As much as I love many aspects of FB (keeping in touch with friends, cute games like Farm Town), I really don’t get why they are so un-friendly to blinkies! Even with the “add your own HTML” apps, animated gifs do not show up as animated. Not cool, people.

So today we bid farewell to BlinkieMommies.com… it was a fun project, but I decided not to renew the domain name. Mostly because I would like to start branching out and doing little graphic art freebies other than blinkies (and not just for mommies!).
Also, with trying to launch my graphics design business, hosting the freebies there is a great way to draw some interest to the site so that potential clients will be familiar with it (”hey, I need posters, I already know of a WAHM who can do that…”).
I’ve created a new set of big blinkies just in time for summer, so take a look:

Now that I’m less restricted to the idea of blinkies only, stay tuned for more fun & cute freebies! And of course if you have any ideas or requests, let me know!
