“Baby Wishes” hand-stamped birthday cards
When thinking baby, it helps to think in miniature. Anything tiny is just that much cuter, right? For these baby birthday cards, I used tiny stamps and tiny tags to bring the theme of “Baby Wishes”.
Materials: blue and green cardstock (Ballet Blue, Garden Green & Gable Green, I believe), patterned paper with dots, bright white cardstock, small and large tag punches (Stampin’ Up), circle punches (also SU) and cutting templates (Custom Cutting System from Creative Memories), paper piercer, green and blue brads (this time the blue is Tempting Turquoise), green gingham ribbon, slot punch (SU), scallop edge punch (SU), note paper punch (SU), hole punch, stamps from the Tagger’s Dozen stamp set (SU), “happy birthday to you” stamp (single stamp from SU), blue and green inks (Gable Green and Tempting Turquoise).
Techniques: paper-piercing, inked edges, matted tags and circles, dimensional greeting, blended ink shading with blender pens.
The first of these cards was given out to a little boy just turning 1… what an adorable age!
I love first birthday parties and was thrilled to be able to attend and have my own 2 munchkins along. My little dude even got to help blow out the candles with another boy there because the birthday baby of course was not quite about to figure out how to blow his own candles out!
The other card I believe I still have, so it might be going up into the Hand-crafted Cards section of the KStar store!
Speaking of which, I do also have another new birthday card and another new Thank-you card that will be put up soon as available for sale. They may not necessarily get their own blog entry, but here’s a peek at the cards (as featured in my Scrappy & Stampy Gallery)…
That’s all for now and happy stamping!
