One more “set” of blinkies has been added though that is now available in the 150×40 size! If you want to add a blinkie to your signature that shows you are a proud mom to 1, 2, 3, or more (up to 6 and “many” for beyond…), you’ve got ‘em!

Another option if you have more than 6 munchkins would be to check if requests are being taken. I have opened the requests back up for now and I’ll see how that goes, but if it gets busy, I may need to take a pause again.

There are also some blinkies for moms of multiples (twins, triplets…) and moms of all girl and all boy families…

I just have a dozen blinkies created so far in one colour set (orange, pink and purple) but I have plans to do a second set in a similar style but with a coordinating colour palette or orange, blue and green.

For these I wanted to create, of course, a little ball of wool and a set of knitting needles. It was very fun to design and assemble in the graphic sense… and I’m happy with how they turned out.

The first batch for this theme is in 150×20 size (”regular”/small size), and includes 14 blinkies. Next I would probably consider doing the 150×40 “Big Blinkie” size. There are two different background “blinking” patterns (light and dark), a couple different hearts. The colours are purple and teal, a fave combination of mine lately that I have used in knitting too!! And as much as I love the wool ball, it’s not in all the blinkies. Here’s a few of them:

Most of the blinkies created were sprinkled into categories such as TTC (Hoping for a Boy and Hoping for a Girl), Baby Dust, Pregnancy**, and Twins/Triplets/Mulitples, which have more pages now added to accommodate the larger number of blinkies!

As a side note… all these pastel vs. bright colours reminds me of changing trends… I was recently in an elementary school about as old as I am. It was very pastel, with floor tiles in a pink and green pattern. The school had jazzed things up over the years, such as painting the doors in more bright colours of paint, but still couldn’t hide the original and lasting fixtures. Looking at clothes and other fashion trends from the 80s, you really do seem to see a lot more bright colours these days… and I don’t mean the eye-shocking neon brilliance of the 90s!! Just lots of vibrant and deep hues. And my kids’ schools, built in the new millenium, are more bright and modern. The colours are either bright or neutral. The homes in our new-build neighbourhood are tending more towards the neutral tones, and I find home decor trends are doing the same.
