new blinkies for nursing mothers: TTC, tandem, etc.

October 20th, 2010 -- Posted in blinkies & other cuteness | Comments Off

There are tons of blinkies out there for breastfeeding moms (I’ve certainly contributed my fair share – probably a hundred or so by now!), but it’s still a little more difficult to find nursing-themed blinkies for special circumstances…

Breastfeeding alone is a challenge, so adding any other factors to your nursing routine (or an extra baby!) is an accomplishment any mom should be proud of! So I also wanted to fill the gap by producing some blinkies to show pride for the amazing accomplishment of tandem nursing – whether you are nursing your newborn and older baby, your baby and toddler, or toddler and child, it’s no easy feat!

Then, of course I had to also consider moms of multiples who are breastfeeding their twins or triplets. Moms of preemies and NICU babies are also taking on extra challenges when it comes to continuing to provide their babies with breast milk.

The Tandem Nursing Blinkies Page includes all blinkies related to nursing more than one baby, be they twins, triplets, multiples, or siblings.

I’ve also had blinkie requests for “working and pumping” breastfeeding blinkies before and I know there must be other moms out there in the same boat, so I’ve created blinkies in that area as well…

new blinkie batch: baby by month

October 18th, 2010 -- Posted in blinkies & other cuteness, work/career | Comments Off

This blinkie batch was a long time coming, and I’m glad to have finally had enough creative “blinkie-making” energy in me to finish up the set of Baby Month blinkies I’d started to refresh my old-style 150×20 set…

So the fall months (the “Fall Mix” set of oranges and browns) were already complete, and I’d done a few simple blinkies for May through August, but it’s now safe to say that there are blinkies available for all months of the year, some with different new style options as well.

Here are the latest additions to the set…

Spring Months:
(”Green Mix”)

Summer Months: (”Red Mix”)

Winter Months:

The whole set of Baby Month-by-Month blinkies can be found here (a new page! the other 2 “old style” batches have been moved to their own pages). The matching Due Date Month-by-Month blinkies can be found here.

In other KStar Design news, please note that I’m not currently taking any new graphic/web design clients or starting new projects in that area OR accepting any blinkie requests (I just haven’t been able to keep up with anything lately and don’t want to add more to the pile!).

However, I do still have Hand-crafted Cards and Baby Birth Plaques up for sale on the site and will be adding new cards soon. I’ve updated the index page of the site to reflect the change in focus of the company, which may or may not be continuing on as an official entity after this calendar year.

All for now, so enjoy the blinkies and stay tuned for more coming soon! I have 2 different batches to add to the site and then blog about, so hopefully I can squeeze those in sometime soon in between the cards and other projects I’m posting about. ;)

new blinkies + matching Siggies!

July 13th, 2010 -- Posted in blinkies & other cuteness | Comments Off

Here’s another set of big blinkies that make use of digital scrapbooking elements to enhance their look. This set goes from age 1 to age 9, and there are 3 different styles per age. The colours are similar to the original set of Cute Kiddos Big Blinkies, but the green is a different kind of green.

The felt numbers are from the same digital scrapbooking site used for the first Cute Kiddos blinkies set, and the flowers were made by me… I had a lot of fun with those and will definitely do some more digital scrapbooking flowers in the future for my own layouts!

The entire collection can be found here and you can copy and paste the codes to use the blinkies wherever you’d like! :)

While I was playing around with digital scrapbooking elements and styles, I also figured it was time to start a new section of Freebies that I had been dreaming up for a while: Make Your Own Siggies!
