Just a quick note to update my blog readers and friends about my posts…

- A few months ago, I locked most of my entries but have been slowly going through them and opening some of them up for the archives. It’s been an emotional experience skimming over some of my past entries, like this poem about my son as a baby!

- Some of the entries that have to do with my chronic pain syndrome are now password-protected instead of locked. Friends may ask for the password if they’d like to read them. I may or may not post any new ones, but it looks as though it may be months before I can go back to feeling safe just blogging freely about my whole crappy experience fighting through the system to try to get help for my disability.

- For now, I’ll keep up with all my “lighter” posts. I’m still working on decorating our house and learning to sew, and working on scrapbooking, cross-stitch, card-making and stamping projects. And of course this is the first place to check for new blinkies!! :)

- I’ll also continue to blog about my life as a Mompreneur, what it’s like to start a business and grow it. Business registration, vendor permits, other milestones – stuff I wish I’d known about earlier in my WAHM career.

- I’ve changed the system for giving each entry it’s own URL and they will now have the title of the post instead of numbers. So if there are any links out there to previous entries, they may no longer work.

- I did start including some ad space in my sidebar a little while ago to try to generate some income. It’s only pennies right now, but who knows. Friends with LJ and friends on Facebook will still get a cross-post of each entry there without ads.

- I’ve been aiming to post at least a few times a week and plan to keep going with that. If you know anyone who might benefit from reading my blog, please pass along the info!! :) Whether they are veteran scrapbookers or coping with chronic pain or other illnesses, they just might find something here that can help.

Thanks for reading!! and I really love and appreciate comments, so please drop a note whenever you’d like! :)

Give-away: FREE unique new baby gift!

August 20th, 2009 -- Posted in EZ-blog Oven, blinkies & other cuteness, contests & freebies | 20 Comments »

I’m excited to announce a new line of baby gifts from KStar Design… baby birth plaques!

They share all the hand-crafted and personalized characteristics of hand-painted nursery signs (you know, with the cute ribbons and bows), but are very stream-lined and modern… All the customization and colour is added at the graphics design level, so you are left with a finished keepsake that is very up-to-date and chic. They will last as your baby (and his/her décor!) changes over time.

To celebrate the launch of these cherished mementos, I’ll be giving away 3 prizes, including a top prize of one FREE Baby Birth Plaque!

To enter the give-away contest, simply comment on this blog telling me which colour palette you would choose if you were the winner – and why it’s your favourite! So far we have “Chocolate Raspberry”, “Blue Denim” and “Fresh Citrus” available:

Chocolate Raspberry Colour Palette
Blue Denim Colour Palette
Fresh Citrus Colour Palette

If you’re feeling really creative (and/or already have a favourite blinkie from KStar), you can opt to choose that set of colours and if you win the contest, I will put together a new palette based on that blinkie. ;)

Visit the Baby Birth Plaques store to view a couple of examples of the artwork. I will hopefully also have a sample to show you of what the completed project looks like in the mounted frame.

Here are all the details:
