Say it fast and I’ll tell you that no, the penguins are reasonably slim. 
I created these cute cards for the winter birthdays of 2 of Avery’s little friends in the “baby buddies” group (almost all were born within 2 months of each other – we met at a baby group waaay back in 2005!). I made different penguin cards with a blues and browns colour scheme for two of the boys (including mine!) in the group so stay tuned for when I post pics of those as well. 
Cardstock: Perfect plum and Pale plum, white
Ink: penguins inked with Basic Black then coloured in with green & orange.
Techniques: the inner oval was paper-pierced, outermost oval has torn edges
Embellishments: white eyelets (Making Memories) and snowflake eyelets (from Ebay)

I got to nap yesterday! The bathroom renovations were all finished up by 2pm Friday afternoon and after taking a quick peek (and a quick pee of course!), I eagerly climbed into my bed for a nap. I didn’t really wake up when my alarm went off at quarter after 3, but I finally realized I should get out of bed when my alarm music went off. Which it does after an hour. ‘Cause it figures what kind of person is still lying in bed being lulled back to sleep by their radio a whole hour after it goes off?
Feeling a wee bit better, I set upon making some more cards. Especially since my Stampin’ Up order from the last Stamp Club arrived on last week, yay!! I made 6 cards and ordered dinner while DH was trying to get home in the snow & traffic. After our movie night, I made a bunch more. Today I made tons and tons of them. I think all in all, I’ve made about 70 cards, and many of those have been mailed out, yay! Here are the designs I’ve been working on now that I have the “night of navy” cardstock.

Is some of my creative energy coming back?! Shocking.
Maybe it’s the influence of all sorts of scrapbooking and card-making lately?
Whatever it is, I’ll take it! I really miss being creative when I’m feeling too out-of-sorts to put anything cute together.
